Virtual convocation IIT Mumbai - 2020,21
Amidst the pandemic, IIT Bombay organised its 58th & 59th Annual Convocation ceremony in Virtual Reality Mode. Every graduate of IIT Bombay got its personalized avatar & they received the degree from the avatar of their Director Subhasis Chaudhry. The medallists also received their medals from the personalised avatar of the chief guest. The institute could not bid these students a proper farewell. So, for this special batch, the entire convocation was aired on Doordarshan and simultaneously graduates can play and watch their personal avatar receiving the degree on smart devices through the convocation app.
